There Must Be An Easier Way

I am a self-employed engineering/AutoCAD consultant and Ruby hacker.
Things I enjoy:

• reading
• traveling
• Ruby, Rails and all that entails
• poetry (see above)
• sitting on my balcony and watching the boats go by
• making computers do stuff that I find tedious, boring and error-prone
• finding an easier way

Things I dislike:

• seeing someone sitting in front a computer loaded with a metric butt-load of software and reaching for a calculator or pencil/paper to do something that the computer should do for them

Over the years, my work has included mechanical engineering, land surveying, mapping, and civil engineering. I am a partner in CadTracts, LLC. We have two AutoCAD extension programs aimed at land planners and civil engineers.

I am involved in the open-source community as the creator of acadhelper, the soon-to-be-released TIRADE, and a contributor to iron-term-ansicolor
